I bought the Ds18 2CLC. And for the life of me I can't wrap my head around how to wire this thing?

Ground- go to existing ground
12v- tap into existing constant 12
Rem in-
Rem out-
Speaker R (+/-) tap into rear speaker??
Speaker L (+/-) tap into rear speaker??

What do I do with the remote in and out? Do those signals need to come from the head unit then out to the amp? Thanks in advance.

Stock head unit, factory car amp for fender speakers.

Ignore the remote in. That unit has a signal sense option to turn it on. The remote out goes to the amp's remote in..
Okay so I did that. I spliced unto my factory subwoofer that is currently out putting 4-7 volts to the LOC and I'm getting nothing. Do I need to use both left and right side of the speaker inputs? Currently I just have one POS and one NEG hooked up

Yes, use left and right RCA inputs on the amp. Did the LOC turn on? If not, check for a button or switch on it to activate the signal sense feature.
Also check the gains on the LOC and amplifier.

Okay I'll try that. The connections are so close together. It seems kind of silly really.

That would be a function of the harness, not the HU, I think. Have you looked into a Maestro or iData interface? i would check with crutchfield...
